Note Regarding ELA Curriculum
Parents should choose a comprehensive English Language Arts program to complete with their child at home, which should include phonics concepts, grammar, writing, penmanship, and literature. Popular choices for ELA for our students have been All About Spelling and All About Reading, The Good and the Beautiful, and Explode the Code. Phonics programs using the Orton-Gillingham method are encouraged. ELA instructors will be reinforcing grade-appropriate ELA concepts in class.
